Technical
Parboiled rice is partially boiled in the husk before milling, which helps retain nutrients and results in a firmer, less sticky grain. White rice is fully milled and polished, offering a softer texture and faster cooking time.
This refers to the percentage of grains that are less than 3/4 the length of a whole grain. 5% broken is considered premium grade, while 25% broken is often used for commercial or industrial applications.
